The date: 28th of June, the place: Kaya Lembali conference centre in Morningside Durban. A group of 20 intrepid amateur Crime Scene Investigators took on the challenge of solving Beach and Bush's double murder CSI Challenge team build scenario.

The two teams battled it out across the various challenges including murder scene processing, vehicle forensics, murder weapon ballistics testing, identikit, interrogation and evidence processing.

All delegates showed a keenness to investigate and were very competitive from the start.

The venue at Kayak Lembali is ideal for small group team building and the old manor house certainly lent an air of mystique to the proceedings.

The challenge is to come up with the correct timeline and order of event while figuring out motive, means and identifying primary and secondary suspects. Both teams came very close to getting the correct answer, but in the end it was team 1 who were crowned CSI champs.
