Bluebay Beach Resort has a total of 112 rooms, made up of the following categories:

Garden Rooms: Located behind the Junior Suites in beautiful landscapped gardens. They are in 3 bungalows each with 2 ensuite bedrooms. Each Room is at least 45 Sq. Metres.

Superior Rooms: Bedroom cottages located on rising ground overlooking verdant gardens, the public areas, the pool, the sparkling white beach and the azure seas beyond. All the rooms in this category are sea view. Each room is approximately 50 Sq Metres.

Club 24 Rooms: All the rooms have fabulous sea view and within the private area was created a free flow pool with separate Jacuzzi as well as a cozy lounge, bar and restaurant, all of which are exclusive to the 24 Club Rooms and the 8 Suites of the Resort.

Junior Suites: Made up of 3 bungalows each with 2 interconnected Suites, in a private area, within 30 metres of the Ocean. All sea view, Large rooms (at least 90 Sq Metres) with a lounge area incorporated in the room, an extensive external Verandah and a very unique, external garden shower (in back of room and enclosed in private compound).

Sultan Suites: Super deluxe rooms. Situated on the very edge of the Indian Ocean only a few metres from the brilliant, white sandy beach of Kiwengwa, these two Sultan Rooms are attended by Butlers, dressed in flowing traditional Swahili robes, whose sole aim is to ensure that your every need is met and surpassed.

Spacious verandahs, furnished in true Zanzibar style, provide the ideal location for washing away your worries and your cares while the ample rooms with their 8 feet 'Sultan size' beds enable you to experience first hand what it must have been like to be a real Sultan.

Makuti Restaurant enjoys magnificent views over the modern deck-level swimming pool to the ocean beyond. It offers breakfast and dinner within guests' Meal Plan arrangements. It is the main dining setting serving breakfast and dinner - and is included in the Half Board meal plan arrangement for all the guests at the Resort. Lunch for the supplement Fully Board option is also served here.

Breakfasts are buffet with live cooking. Dinners are themed, covering 10 different nationalities and local cuisines.

The Pool Bar: Located by the resort swimming pool and serves a full range of wines, spirits, minerals and fresh juices as well as specialized coffees.

The Beach Bar and Restaurant: A fabulous place for guests to sip cold drinks or have a meal of seafood specialties, pizza as well as other light fare - all served in an informal toes-in-the-sand setting with the ocean right in front!

The Bahari Grill: The best Sea-food and Steaks on the Island. It is a specialist diner restaurant and offers an exclusive dining experience. It is open in the evenings only and bookings are necessary!

The Club 24 Restaurant: An exclusive dining establishment for residents of Club 24 and guests of the 8 Suites at the Resort. The restaurant overlooks the private swimming pool and lounge.

The Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa is located on the east coast of the Zanzibar Island, in an area known as Kiwengwa. The Zanzibar Island lies 35 km off the eastern coast of Africa and is one of the two main islands of an autonomous state within the larger republic of Tanzania.

The Resort is less than a leisurely hour's drive from the Airport - Abeid Karume Airport - on an all weather tarmac road. To fly into Zanzibar, visitors take a 45-minutes flight from Nairobi, Kenya, which is the region's largest city with air-links to virtually every major world city. East African Safari Air, Kenya Airways and KLM fly into Zanzibar daily from Nairobi. Many other international airlines fly to Dar es Salaam, a city on the coast of mainland Tanzania, from where you can take a local flight to the island or choose to cross over by ferry. The trip by sea last approximately 2 hours.

A number of European tour operators also operate regular weekly charter flights directly to the island.

Our Conference Room, the Baraza (meaning traditional meeting place or meeting in swahili) is an 80 square meter fully air-conditioned facility that holds a maximum of 80 people seated theatre style.

The facility is ideally located between the Hotel's Business Centre and the main restaurant where coffee breaks and business lunches can be served without interruption from or to the regular hotel guests.

Equipment available includes stereo surround speakers for the PA system as well as a stage & podium, all included free of charge with the room. Equipment available at a nominal charge is:
