Casa Rex is a lovely island gateway offering travellers a wonderful stay in a small Mozambique hotel with guest house atmosphere. Looking out from the lodge over the lush gardens you can take in the views of Vilankulo Bay and the magnificent Bazaruto Archipelago, a World Heritage Site.

Casa Rex offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation and is located in Vilanculos, Mozambique. Vilanculos is situated in Inhambane Province, easily accessible by both road and air. Vilankulos is stunning, with over 1200 species of marine life. Snorkelling, diving and other water activities only add to this experience.

Accommodation at Casa Rex is charming and luxurious, with rooms decorated in an individual style, and an emphasis in the lounge and dining areas on custom-crafted wood furniture and fittings.

With a focus on intimate personal service, Casa Rex has no more than 14 rooms on offer. Typically they contain 2 single beds or 1 double bed. Some rooms accommodate more than 2 people.

Acacia Rooms: Contain 2 single beds or 1 double bed, an en-suite shower, air-conditioning, fans, Internet connection, bar fridge and a private balcony.

Premium Rooms: Contain 1 double bed or 3 single beds, en-suite bath/shower, mosquito nets, fans and a terrace.

Honeymoon Suite: This Honeymoon suite contains 1 double bed, en-suite shower, private dressing area, mosquito nets, fans and a large terrace.

Casa Rex's communal main areas include a comfortable lounge and dining room. The deluxe swimming pool is the ideal respite on a hot day at this small Mozambique hotel.

Breakfast daily is included with your accommodation, but Casa Rex also has an excellent restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Lunch is on an a la Carte menu while at dinner guests will be offered a magnificent array of fresh seafood dishes and both local and imported wines.

You can also sip sundowners on the terrace, or refresh yourself in the swimming pool overlooking the harbour – the perfect way to end the day ….. or begin one.

The Bazaruto Archipelago, which Casa Rex overlooks, is made up of several tropical islands and includes some awesome reefs which are home to a diverse array of marine life. As a result there are a host of water sports available in the area including world class deep sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling.
