Activities
For those with more time and a thirst for adventure, we have personalized itineraries from a wide range of options to choose from...
Safari Village Walks: There are varieties of outings of different durations and style designed to introduce guests to all the wonder/beauty of Karatu or Tanzania in general. The guided walking safari will take you through the country-side, a village, coffee farms, to a waterfall and include a chance of cultural interactions with local people by visiting the local market, the village school or traditional Iraqw houses.
Ngorongoro Walk: This walking safari is designed for those in search of real African adventures, those who enjoy the unpredictability of nature, wildness at close quarters, and those who want to rough it out. It's also for those whose normal lifestyle has become too mundane and comfortable and for those who feel they need a close encounter with challenges of an extra-ordinary kind. We also organise truly enchanting, personalised package tours to all the national parks of Tanzania and trekking adventures to Africa’s coolest point - Kilimanjaro, etc - the choice is always yours.
"Tindiga" Experience: Daily tailor-made safaris are arranged to Lake Eyasi or the land of the Tindiga, the tribe similar in appearance and lifestyle to bushmen. We at kudu believe that this excursion is for those with memories to build and those with adventurous spirits.
Game Drives:
Ngorongoro - From the Lodge/Camp, we will take you for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater is barely 40kms from the lodge, it is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. This 2000 feet deep and 264 sq mile natural amphitheater is host to an astonishing array of wildlife. Universally acclaimed to be the 8th wonder of the world. The Ngorongoro Crater inevitably invites comparison to the Garden of Eden. It is the best place to see The Big Five- Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, Lion and Buffalo (all in one day).
Lake Manyara National Park - A visit to Lake Manyara will without doubt leave you with unforgettable feelings of natural wonders. This shimmering, flamingo full alkaline lake is located 25kms from the lodge/camp, and is famous for its tree-climbing lions. It’s the only place in the world where the lions really know that they are kings and reign from the tree tops. The Park has numerous varieties of other wildlife as well.
Serengeti National Park - A two days, one night safari excursion would take you to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti through Olduvai. Serengeti or “Endless Plains” as its Maasai name -siringeti- implies. Is the largest national park in Tanzania. Serengeti is famous for its vast migratory herd of more than 1.5 million Wildebeest or Gnus with a very large number of Zebra in search of pasture and water between November and May. This absorbing drama, a soap opera of the wild, makes the Serengeti like no other park.
