Driving distance on the N12/N4 double carriageway from Johannesburg/Pretoria is approximately 2 hours.

Accommodation at Valley of the Rainbow Mountain Fly Fishing Estate and Nature Reserve is available in the Manor House, Tented Chalets and/or Country House.
The Manor House: Guests have a choice of five rooms each with a comfortable lounge area and a well appointed en-suite bathroom. A spacious lounge with an open fire-place for cold winter evenings, bar, dining room with fire-place, library and TV invites guests to more than home luxuries. The spacious deck overlooks a river running through the valley, gardens, forests, mountains and lakes.
The Country House: The Country House is decorated in a classic country style and offers five luxurious double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom access to the veranda, with a magnificent view over the valley, indigenous forest and mountains. The country house is self-catering and accommodates a maximum of 10 persons.
Tented Chalets: Tent Chalets provide the more adventurous guests the opportunity to experience nature in comfortable accommodation. Each chalet is with an en-suite bathroom, front seating deck with kitchenette and with views over one of the lakes in the valley. The family chalet sleeps four and the honeymoon chalet sleeps two persons comfortably.
Food
Manor House: Meals are served in the dining room of the Manor House. With its artistic and stylish decor, this creates the perfect setting for fine dining and social atmosphere. The resturant offers a superb menu, incorporating South African Cuisine with international presentation and standards. A comprehensive wine list compliments the food beautifully.
The Country House: With an open plan lounge, dining room and TV room, the Country House is ideally suited for families, friends and corporate groups. The Country House is has a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering meals. Guests are more than welcome to take meals in the Manor House.
Tented Chalets: The tented chalets are fully equipped for self-catering.

Visitors will experience the peace and tranquillity of the venue, prolific birdlife including 5 kingfisher species, the fish eagle and endangered blue crane, a variety of game including buck, vevet monkey, bush pig, cerval cat and the clawless otter.
Activities
Guests at Valley of the Rainbow Estate and Nature Reserve can participate in organised sport activities such as fly fishing, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding.
The mountains invite guests to go wandering along walking trails on which one can expect to find a variety of small game, numerous species of birds and an abundance of wild flowers and plants.
