Woodridge Country Hotel and Spa is a 4 star country hotel in the heart of the beautiful KwaZulu Natal Midlands of South Africa. It is noted for its quiet elegance, the excellence of its cuisine, the magnificent views and the diversity of activities in and around its very central location.

As well as being a popular holiday destination it has excellent facilities for conferences, corporate events, local and destination weddings with its own picturesque chapel as well as having a spa and wildlife nature reserve on the property.

Out of thousands of possible venues we were privileged to have been chosen to host Team Paraguay during the FIFA World Cup 2010.

Woodridge offers the option of rooms, chalets & suites, all tastefully and luxuriously decorated. All rooms & chalets are equipped with heaters, hairdryers, TVs (with MNET, and 1 DSTV Channel), electric blankets, natural herbal bath and body products from our soap shop as well as tea/coffee making facilities. All have separate bathrooms with bath, basin, toilet and shower. A heated Jacuzzi pool and trampoline are available to guests.

ROOMS: There are 10 spacious, luxury rooms at Woodridge which look out over natural spring feature pools into the Woodridge Nature Reserve and down the Balgowan Valley. Water in the pools cascades down from one level to the next and adds to the overall ambience.

CHALETS: There are 5 chalet units at Woodridge. In addition to the main bedroom, each chalet has an internal loft area with two beds which is accessed via an external stairway and is ideal for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years. All chalets overlook the formal Woodridge gardens & magnificent Balgowan Valley.

SUITES: Woodridge has access to house accommodation units owned by private investors. There are a minimum of two suites within each house unit; which are rented out as 4 star room accommodation to Woodridge guests when owners are not in residence. It is important to note that each suite is accessed via a separate external entrance and that the central living areas are not rented out as they are the private abode of the owner. All rooms have excellent private views of the Nature Reserve and Balgowan Valley. Some units have pools which can be used by guests.

Isibaya A La Carte Restaurant: Our menu is inspired by the riches of the African continent. Fresh local produce is used to prepare tasty meals served to modern international standards. Our African feast includes flavours of the whole continent. East African seafood traditions, the Cape Dutch and Cape Malay flavours and recipes from as far away as Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia and Morocco. Our food is full of bold flavours, colours and textures. Indlovu Grill House Restaurant: The restaurant honors this majestic African animal in the form of associated elephant art and sculptures. The food specialty of this modern informal restaurant is Grilled African Venison, Beef and Poultry supported by a superb selection of Southern African wines.

Boma: A truly outdoor African eating extravaganza within the Nature Reserve. Food is prepared and cooked by expert African chefs. The African skies provide the ideal backdrop to African dancers, singers and/or story tellers.

The gentle rolling countryside of the KZN Midlands just north of Pietermartizburg uMgungundluvo District is home to South Africa's premier country route for the visitor to the Zulu Kingdom, with a diverse range of experiences from luxurious pampering to antique collecting to milking cows!

The Midlands Meander represents the interests of 200 plus members who are primarily artists, sculptors, crafters and B&B owners in the KZN Midlands area.

Woodridge is central to many exciting cultural and scenic attractions. It is 60 km from Pietermaritzburg (30 mins drive), and 120 km from Durban (1 hour).

• There are a number of large waterfalls in KZN including Howick, Karkloof and Albert Falls all of which are close to Woodridge.

Woodridge's African colonial facilities provide the client with a secluded, up-market venue for weddings, conferences, photo shoots, product launches, annual functions and other special events.
