Clifftop is situated 2 hours from Johannesburg in the Malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg Mountains, South Africa. It is an ideal destination for intimate weddings, conferences and special celebrations.

Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway consists of 8 luxury suites overlooking the flowing Sterkstroom River. Each suite enjoys their own private deck and plunge pool perched on the cliff, allowing guests the opportunity to view game from the privacy of their suites. In addition all suites have both indoor and outdoor showers.

Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway boasts an extensive wine cellar, stocked with premium wines for any wine lover with ambience to match, allowing guests to enjoy a cheese and wine or intimate dinner.

The Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is the result of a pioneering project begun in 1987 to return farmland to its original natural state. As a result thereof, it has grown to become one of South Africa’s premier privately held reserves. Ambitious game relocation efforts and careful ecological management have resulted in a reserve today that is home to the Lion, Leopard, Elephant, White Rhino, Cheetah, Brown Hyena, 15 different types of buck, and 30 other species of mammal.

Lodge activities include game viewing in Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in open 4x4 vehicles. This affords guests the opportunity of viewing fauna and flora, whilst traversing the undulating hills, following river courses and open savannah plains. The reserve is well stocked with lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, rhino, elephant, zebra, giraffe and plenty of other mammals, birds and trees.

Other activities on offer include picnics and bush breakfasts on the banks of the Sterkstroom River, nearby elephant back safaris, hot air balloon safaris, quad biking and horse riding.

Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway has been designed for the purposes of catering for corporate workshops, merger & acquisition meetings, and other senior management meetings of a private nature. As the only official fully commercial site in a reserve designed to be private, we offer companies a secure intimate experience, away from prying eyes.

In addition to the 16-seater boardroom, the lodge boasts numerous "break-out" areas for work shopping and idea generation.
