Duba Plains Camp lies in the most remote reaches of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, in an area renowned for the endless conflict between prides of lions and the herds of buffalo which sustain them. The award-winning National Geographic documentary Relentless Enemies chronicled this battle for survival. Duba Plains Camp is an unobtrusive camp surrounded by expanses of seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony, sycamore fig and mangosteen trees.
Dube Plains Camp is an intimate classic wilderness camp, consisting of just 6 luxury tents. Core activities during your stay are day and night game drives to track buffalo or various lion prides around the concession.
As part of the Wilderness Safaris Group, your stay at Duba Plains will be as all-inclusive as possible, with the core activities such as game drives, nature walks, boating and all meals included in the price of accommodation.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Duba Plains Camp consists of six roomy tents with en-suite bathrooms, outside showers and verandas with panoramic vistas of the Okavango Delta floodplains.
The thatched lounge, dining and bar areas are raised along with the pool on wooden platforms to better appreciate the breathtaking views.

Meals at Dube Plains Camp comprise wholesome, hearty home-style cooking, typically enjoyed under the star-strewn southern African sky, or in the roofed dining area.

Situated on one of the low, sandy islands common to this region, Duba Plains Camp is surrounded by a wide variety of landscapes. From vast open floodplains and grasslands which are often isolated from the mainland by deep waterways to dense mopane bushveld and savannah. Guests to Duba Plains Camp experience spectacular game viewing and birding all year round.
The Okavango Delta has this rich diversity of habitats and lush fertile grasses as a result of year-round availability of water, with the summer rains and winter floods stimulating the environment. Duba Plains Camp supports an abundance of wildlife which is unique even to the pristine and scenic backdrop of the iconic Okavango Delta.
Every aspect of the wildlife at Duba Plains Camp fascinates. The region has two prides of lions which compete in the hunt every day. The battle for survival between the lions is as stirring as the plight of the thousands of buffalo. When the lions hunt by day they provide guests with incredible photo opportunities.
Aardwolf sightings are one of the specialities of Duba Plains Camp, along with the occasional glimpse of caracal. Red lechwe, elephant, tsessebe and warthog share this savannah landscape and hippo concentrate in the deeper channels. The area often has productive spotted hyena dens that offer unique hyena pup viewing, whilst leopards can be found on the forested islands.
Most of the Okavango Delta's renowned birdlife can be found around Duba Plains Camp, including the Swamp Boubou, Hartlaub's Babbler and Swamp Nightjar. During the annual flooding the abundance of waterbirds is simply astounding - with a multitude of herons, egrets, lapwings and jacanas on show.
