Summary
Entabeni Safari Conservancy, "The Place of the Mountain", is situated in the World Heritage Waterberg Biosphere of the Waterberg region in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Less than a three-hour drive north of Johannesburg, this 22 000 ha malaria-free reserve boasts five eco-systems. The upper escarpment offers majestic craggy rock formations and wide open grass plains. This is separated from the lower plateau by 600 metre high cliffs. The lower escarpment is about three degrees warmer and comprises sandy wetlands.
Entabeni offers far more than the usual game sightings of the Big Five. Experience scenic helicopter flights, stargazing in the observatory, sunset lake cruises and a variety of game viewing activities.
The Safari Conservancy offers 7 different types of exciting accommodation for eco-tourists, in the form of luxury four and five-star lodges. Accommodation at all lodges is excellent value for money, and includes all meals as well as 2 guided game drives daily.
Accommodation
Kingfisher Lodge is situated on the banks of Lake Entabeni on the upper escarpment of the Safari Conservancy. Kingfisher Lodge is a satellite lodge of Lakeside Lodge.
Eight deluxe rooms feature showers, baths, twin hand basins, extra length beds, electric blankets for winter, overhead fans, fireplaces, mini bars and wooden decks. The honeymoon suite features an exquisite four-poster bed and Jacuzzi bath. One of the rooms is also paraplegic friendly. Giant shade trees form a green and cool canopy over the lodge.
Hanglip Mountain Lodge is situated on the lower escarpment of the Entabeni Safari Conservancy. This alluring five-star lodge evokes the romantic Africa of yesteryear. All luxury suites, furnished in African Baroque style, have private sun decks with breathtaking views across the wetlands and vast open plains. Enchanting gardens provide a paradise of foliage and tranquility.
This exclusive lodge comprising 10 luxury en-suite thatched rooms including one Honeymoon Suite. There are also 2 standard rooms and one wheelchair friendly room. It is refreshingly alluring with its unique blend of utter luxury and true African wilderness, with views stretching beyond the lake to Hanglip Mountain and the rest of its range.
Lakeside Lodge is situated on the banks of Entabeni Lake on the upper escarpment of the Entabeni Safari Conservancy.
The Lodge consists of 24 Luxury en-suite bedrooms, including 9 family rooms. On the banks of Lake Entabeni luxurious and elegantly furnished en suite bedrooms are linked with thatched walkways to the Reception, Restaurant Conference and Boma areas.
Eagle's Nest is an intimate, private satellite Lodge of Lakeside Lodge situated on the upper escarpment of the Entabeni Safari Conservancy. The exclusive Eagle's Nest nestles high on a hill overlooking Entabeni Lake and Mountain. This luxury wooden and stone lodge built on stilts provides a perfect setting with spectacular birds-eye views.
Four en-suite bedrooms with a communal lounge area. A spacious, elegantly decorated private lounge and dining area with fireplace leads on to a unique rock-face boma and sun deck. Eagle's Nest offers personalised service, tranquility and privacy.
Ravineside Lodge is situated on the upper escarpment of the Entabeni Safari Conservancy, overlooking the gorge.
Under the extending shadow of Entabeni Rock, you will find open grasslands surrounded by majestic mountains, natural rock formations and verdant bush. There is an abundance of waterfalls, springs, crystal clear mountain pools and streams. Entabeni offers not only guided walks and game drives but also bush picnics and dinners enjoyed in magical surroundings and bush venues, especially at Boekenhout and the breathtaking Hanglip view point.
Ravineside Lodge has undeniable appeal and a character of its own. Ravineside Lodge comprises tranquil thatched wooden lodges on stilts with bird?s eye-views. Each lodge has 3 or 4 luxury en suite bedrooms with an African ethnic theme. A private open-plan lounge and bar area extends to the open sundecks. From here the guests can indulge in bird and game watching and experience the beauty of the ravine with the rippling sound of water far down in the valley.
Wildside Safari Camp: A true African bush experience awaits you at Wildside Safari Camp, where the essence of the unspoilt wilderness of the Waterberg is combined with comfortable en-suite tents, creating a wild Africa atmosphere. The open lounge/bar area with the romantic roaring fire in the boma creates the perfect end to a relaxed day in the bush.

Food
Each of the Conservancy's Lodges has an on-site restaurant, with options to eat in the dining area or under the stunning, star-strewn African skies. Meals are a mix of international cuisine and delicious local dishes.
Your stay at the Conservancy is on a Full Board basis, meaning breakfast, lunch and supper are included in accommodation rates.

Lakeside Lodge is ideal for conferences, with 2 fully equipped rooms that can cater for up to 145 delegates. Facilities for informal management meetings, brainstorming sessions etc. are also available in the Conservancy.
