Nestled in the heart of Big 5 country adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park, with a huge diversity of mammal and bird species, lies 11 500 hectares of pristine South African Bushveld. This is the Thornybush Game Reserve.

In the midst of the big five Thornybush Game Reserve lies 4-star Serondella Lodge, set along the banks of a Monwana tributary. Here you will have excellent opportunities for spectacular photographs of big game species daily visiting the close by water hole - while enjoying superb cuisine and personal attention. Comfortable and intimate Serondella Lodge, on the banks of a tributary to the dry Monwana River, accommodates eight guests in varied accommodation choices. There are three luxury Suites, each with excellent vistas from both bedroom and bathroom large windows to the watering hole.

As an alternative for families, there's is a family suite, completely self contained with three suites, two downstairs and one suite upstairs, a reception room with open fireplace between the two downstairs bedrooms. Guests can choose which accommodation choice best suits their requirements.

An exclusive Boma and Bar area close to the Lodge's swimming pool makes for an ideal venue for rest and refreshment. The Lodge is perfectly located and set amongst a wide variety of trees providing shade and an abundance of birdlife.

The viewing hides allow bird lovers an excellent opportunity to encounter the game reserve's 507 different species of bird as well as regular visits by other animals.

Serondella means the place of the elephant and they are habitual patrons to the lodge's two flanking waterholes, allowing excellent opportunities for spectacular photographs and videos from the comfort of the lodge's lounge or suites.

The Thornybush Collection reserves the right to stipulate a minimum stay over weekends, public holidays and holiday periods. A weekend constitutes a Friday and a Saturday night. One night bookings are not generally accepted but may be made at the discretion of The Thornybush Collection reservations staff.
