Two of our luxury tents are wheelchair friendly, with easy access ramps and special spaces have been created within our entertainment and dining areas to accommodate their needs. Guests who require these facilities enjoy unfettered access to all our facilities.

Accommodation at The Springbok Lodge includes 3 meals a day and all hot drinks. Meals are served in the comfortable dining room or outdoors bush and boma areas, weather permitting.

The Springbok Lodge is situated on Nambiti, a Private Game Reserve comprising of 10 000 acres of untouched, Malaria Free bushveld. The Big Five, along with Cheetah and over thirty species of game roam freely on a reserve of incredible biodiversity. Extensive grasslands mirror the plains of Central Africa. Thornveld and majestic Acacia trees enhance the carrying capacity of the reserve.

The abundant natural water system, with perennial rivers and the beautiful waterfall and cascades on the Sundays River make for a unique sanctuary, attracting several rare bird species and an enviable array of raptors and vultures.

Battlefields: Absorb the rich History of the area, Tour Guides in the area offer excellent tour packages, sharing their vast knowledge and passion for legendary Battlefields. With visits to monuments and "places of rest", legacies of the grand heritage of the Battlefields surrounding Nambiti. Visit the Rorkes Drift and Isandlwana battlefields approximately 60 minutes from Nambiti.

The Elandslaagte area boasts a history that dates back to the late 1800's, where some of the bloodiest battles in South Africa history were fought as Zulus, Boers, and British forces clashed over land and sovereignty.

The Battle of Elandslaagte was fought on the Nambiti Conservancy and the original hospital still stands within its boundaries.

The Drakensberg: Take a leisurely 90 minute drive through the rolling hills, enjoy the peace of the country side, that takes you into the majestic mountains of the Drakensberg and superb curio shopping.
