Accommodation

All 72 bedrooms (4 room types) at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge boast the highest level of sophistication and comfort. Decorated in lavishly coloured ethnic fabrics and fittings, each has its own private balcony overlooking the unfenced Zambezi National Park while most look onto the central waterhole. In the Buffalo Bar, Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant and pool deck, friendly Zimbabwean staff offer excellent service and outstanding cuisine.

Suite: Duplex style with entrance into sunken lounge leading onto private balcony with views overlooking the waterhole as well as the Zambezi National Park and facing the African sunset. Raised bathroom with large luxury bath and separate shower cubicle with massaging jets, toweling bathrobes and suite guest amenities. Fully stocked minibar. Open staircase leading up to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Remote controlled air conditioning, and ceiling fans in bedroom and lounge. Telephone in lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Buffalo Bar at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge: It�s not often that a bar within a great, multi-award-winning establishment is given a distinction in its own right. If Buffalo Bar at the Victoria Falls Safari has peers, it certainly stands out as a rare achiever among them. In 1997, it was named one of the Great Bars of the World by top international beer brand Heineken.

And with good reason! Famed for its house specialties � a wide drinks selection, legendary pub menu, sumptuous snacks and convivial atmosphere, the Buffalo Bar is, literally, Victoria Falls� favourite watering-hole. Enthusiasts acknowledge this famous cocktail bar has earned its name not only for its fabulous offerings, but also for its service � oftentimes described as impeccable.

Always patronized, the vibey Buffalo Bar is the hub of lodge � it�s a relaxed spot to refresh and reflect on the joy of the moment: gorgeous views of pristine bush and the distant Zambezi River on the western horizon. The lodge�s central feature, a large waterhole, draws a variety of game which Buffalo Bar patrons get to enjoy from the comfort of their barstools, at such amazingly close proximity the �need for binoculars is superfluous� uttered Carol Thatcher, who a visited the lodge on more than one occasion.

Boma Bar: The Boma Bar is a semi-enclosed venue well-suited to small private cocktail functions and for leisurely drinks before or after dinner. The Boma Bar serves a wide selection of international and local brand lagers, spirits and wines.

The Boma: Place of Eating: Partially open to the African skies and sheltered by the indigenous Gusu forest lies the award winning Boma restaurant. This offers a unique African experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa - together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people.

Specialising in a superb selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes, fish, a variety of game meat and potjiekos (hunter's stew) - as well as vegetarian meals - diners are invited to sample such ethnic delicacies as deep fried kapenta and groundnuts.

Makuwakua: The award-winning MaKuwa-Kuwa is split-level a la carte restaurant located within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge�s central hub with spectacular views over the well-frequented feature waterhole by buffalo, elephant, warthogs and various antelope plus a myriad of birds.. Two flights down from the restaurant, the open-plan Buffalo Bar complements the MaKuwa-kuwa offering a memorable venue for all-day refreshments and tasty snacks, sundowners, and pre- and post-dinner drinks.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers a unique venue for conferences and business seminars. Situated on the western border of Zimbabwe, with warthog roaming the grounds, we provide an efficient and friendly service catering for all your business needs. Our facilities include two conference rooms, two breakaway rooms and an open-air amphitheatre.
