Nestled in the heart of the Ezulwini Valley, Swaziland, Mantenga Lodge is set at the foot of Sheba's Breasts Mountain, immortalized by R. Haggards "King Soloman's Mines", has stunning landscapes, not to mention having unrivaled views of the notorious Execution Rock.

Mantenga Lodge is the perfect setting to just kick back by the pool and savour Africa's delights or to take in the many offerings that the Ezulweni Valley has to offer. The lodge borders the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary and the Swazi Cultural Village, featuring a living homestead complete with traditional houses and animals.

With the lodge being so well positioned within the Ezulweni Valley, it offers guests the perfect opportunity to take in some of the true Swaziland traditions only a stones throw away. Accommodation is on a bed & breakfast basis.

Mantenga Lodge is host to a few different types of Accommodation.

Wooden Chalets Mantenga Lodge boasts eight wooden chalets built on stilts. These charming structures all have their own balcony and enjoy stunning views out over the Valley. Comprising all the necessary facilities for comfort and relaxation, plus being set away from the main area, offers the peace and quiet you have been looking for.

Executive Rooms These rooms are newly built and offer wonderfully spacious twin bedded accommodation with all modern furnishings. Each of these rooms is equipped with all the necessary facilities and being situated amongst the trees, with easy access to the bar / restaurant and the pool makes them the prime choice for business people and tourists alike.

Standard Rooms Situated close to the restaurant and bar these rooms offer both comfort and convenience. There are 12 standard rooms in total, three of which serve as family accommodation. The first of these three family rooms has three separate bedrooms (Max 4 adults), and the other two comprise a main bedroom and an adjoining room with bunk beds (sleeps 2 adults, 2 children). As with all our accommodation the standard rooms are equipped with all the necessary facilities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Pool Side Rooms These rooms are ideal for the budget conscious. Cosy by design, our poolside rooms have all the necessary facilities to ensure a comfortable stay. Although they are situated slightly further from the main building these rooms are still only a short stroll from the restaurant / bar and enjoy the benefits of being in close proximity of the pool.

Mantenga Lodge has superb a la carte Restaurant, and meals are served on the terrace with a spectacular view of the valley and the Execution Rock.

Nearby activities include and 18 hole golf course, horse riding, mountain biking, traditional Swazi cultural experiences and extensive arts and crafts markets.

Chubeka Trails offer day and overnight horse back excursions near to Mantenga Lodge.

Malandela's Complex offers a fabulous Farmhouse Restaurant and Pub, Craft shops, Internet access and the magical "House on Fire" performance arena and art gallery.

Swazi Quad offers a cultural and scenic cruise through royal tribal lands, meandering along dirt roads past waterfalls and secret spots, taking in yummy views, stopping en route at homesteads fro lunch and refreshments; ending the day with a late afternoon supper and an African sunset.

For the fly fisherman, the Mantenga Nature Reserve only a stone's throw from the Lodge has the Ezulweni River running through it. The river holds some very good numbers of Yellowfish. Day fishing tickets can be purchased at the Nature Reserve Gate.
