Eden Abseiling

Eden Adventures, located in the heart of the Wilderness National Park, specialises in outdoor adventure tours, as well as teambuilding activities and tailormade tours of the Garden Route in the Western Cape, South Africa.

We have been running a professional tour operation since early 1997 and with over 10 years of experience we can show you the best that the area has to offer. Our main tours include canoeing, kloofing and abseiling.

Eden Adventures has become one of the leading teambuilding service providers on the Garden Route. Although most of our teambuilding takes place at or near our base in the Wilderness, we do a have portable equipment and have done events as far afield as Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn and Mossel Bay. We have a wide range of tried and tested teambuilding activities which we can adapt around your needs.

Abseiling is all about using a rope and other specialised equipment to descend a cliff. The serene Kaaimans Gorge holds one of the most beautiful abseil sights you will find. You have a chance to do two 45m abseils right next to a magnificent waterfall. The first abseil is an easy one to get you used to the idea of trusting the ropes and the second one is slightly more technical, however just as exhilarating.

What also makes this sight special is that you land in a canoe at the bottom. You need not have abseiled before, however it is not for the faint-hearted! It is also important to remember not to wear slippery shoes.

A new development, especially for group bookings, is a stunning abseil site at Robberg in Plettenberg Bay. The magnificent view overlooking the sea allows one to do whale watching as you descend the rope.

Eden also offers combination tours, that combine abseiling with kloofing. Lunch may be included in these combination tours.

Eden Adventures is located in Wilderness National Park, in the Wilderness area of the Western Cape Garden Route, South Africa. However, we offer abseiling throughout the Garden Route, including Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn and Mossel Bay.

Don't forget sunblock, and shoes and clothing that you don't mind potentially getting wet.

No special physical abilities necessary. You don't even need to have abseiled before.
