DEEP SEA FISHING: Pomene is renowned for offering some of the best Game fishing in Mozambique. Hard fighting adversaries such as Yahoo, Kingfish, Tuna, Couta & Billfish await in these waters to test your tackle and your skill. We have a charter boat for hire, including an experienced skipper who knows the local waters well. All rods, tackle and bait are included. The un-spoilt waters of Pomene are world renowned for the most incredible fish life, translating into a world class destination for big game fishing.

FISHING CROCA SKIS: These 'fishing kayaks' have become very popular amongst anglers in South Africa due to their lightweight construction, superb stability and easy manoeuvrability. Large fish including billfish have been taken from these craft over the years and much can be said about its lack of noise and minimal silhouette, which from a fishing point of view stands for a lot.

Guided and self-guided excursions both in the estuary as well as offshore are available. This craft is also suitable for those just wanting to explore the mangrove system.

SPEARFISHING: Our local skipper (and avid spear fisherman) offers excursions for the experienced spear to un-exploited, really remote locations where BIG fish still abound. Minimum dive depth 12m/Gamefish only. Must supply own equipment.

FLY FISHING: For the fly fishing enthusiast, deep sea outings can be arranged, giving you access to a variety of productive fishing grounds with a depth range of between 8 - 20m. Out here one can target a variety of species from couta, Kingies, rainbow runner, Bonito and a host of others which will test your skills and equipment to the limits. Must supply own tackle/rods.

Try your luck fishing the famous Pomene Point and Zambia Shoal where big games are the order of the day. Due to the ban on bottom fishing one has a 95% chance of taking gamefish on every outing.

Pomene, Southern Mozambique

Deep sea charters and fishing kayaking excursions include boats, paddles, experienced skippers and guides, and all fishing equipment.

Fly fishermen and spear fishermen should bring their own equipment.
