Summary

The Bass Lake Resort in southern Gauteng, South Africa, surrounds a lake with a surface area of 10-hectares. This lake is spring-fed and the water is of drinking quality with both Large Mouthed Bass & Blue Kurper in it. The area is home to an abundance of birdlife and sightings of a number of small game species have been recorded.

Day visitors and overnight guests are welcome to enjoy a number of adventure activities, including scuba diving, hiking, mountain biking, archery and more. Ideal for individuals, corporate days and families.

General

The emphasis at Bass Lake is to provide an enjoyable and unique environment where people can enjoy their recreation time, where families and friends can enjoy the peaceful, secure environment with guests showing mutual respect to each other whilst always maintaining high safety standards.

BASS FISHING is permitted in the lake, on a "catch and release basis", with barbs flattened on hooks. Only flies or lures to be used. All fishing rods to be hand held.

Don't forget your fishing equipment, sun protection, food and drink. Alternatively, enjoy afforable meals and refreshments at Bass Lake's Gecko's cafe.

No under 16s fishing unless supervised by an adult, also fishing.

Rates Comment

Gate entry fees are payable in ADDITION to permit fees. Permits issued are limited per day. Waders and boats with electric motors are permitted. Rules & permit are obtainable at the Outdoor shop at the lower level waterfront.

A R300 deposit / person is required and refundable at the day's end, after a vehicle / boat inspection and if all rules have been adhered to. Departure time is before 17:00.

No sharing of rods, please.
