Located in Johannesburg, South Africa, FlyFishers Unlimited knows how important a balanced outfit is to your performance and enjoyment. This is why we offer FLY CASTING , FLY TYING and ROD BUILDING courses.

Along with running a shop and providing basic fly fishing guidance, FlyFishers also offers a small and exclusive travel service, taking clients to some of the most awesome fly fishing destinations in the world.

Between us we do have more than 80 years of fly fishing experience , let us share it with you.

Fly Tying Lessons: One of the many parts in fly fishing is to eventually tie your own flies. Who better to teach you than Murray Pedder himself? Murray has been tying flies for over 25 years now, he also is the fly tying editor of our local fly fishing magazine "The Complete Fly Fisherman".

Casting Lessons: As you know , if you can not get to that elusive trout , the speeding GT or the skittish yellow you can just as well go and have a beer or two. Let us help you improve or "fine tune" your casting; fly fishing is so much more fun if you can actually get the fly to the fish. Our casting tuition is base on techniques used buy guys like Lefty Kreh, Mel Krieger... just to name a few.

Custom Rod Building: One of the ultimate goals in fly fishing as a lifestyle is to build and fish your own rods. At FlyFishers Unlimited this is also one of our passions. Ricko and Elpus have been building rods for over 30 years combined. Let us share our knowledge on how to finish your perfect fly rod.

We offer one-on-one rod building courses consisting of a minimum of 3 two hour sessions. You will actually sit down and build your own rod from start to finish. The cost is R1400, which include our full attention , the use of our facilities and a book on how to.

FlyTravel - Unlimited Fishing: Let us organise a travel package for you to visit some of the globe's most awesome fly-fishing destinations, such as the Seychelles, Costa Rica for HUGE Tarpon , Mozambique for Proper Cuta and of course our own North Eastern Cape waters for Monster trout.
