There is something about riding a horse that can never be understood by those who haven't tried. They will never know the peace of an early morning outing, with the steam gently rising off one's steed or the summer sweet smell of a horse's breath. Neither would they be able to recall the thrill of a brisk gallop through the mountains, with one's mount a willing companion, or even the tactile pleasure of caressing a velvet-soft nose. The enthusiastic co-operation of an animal much larger and more powerful than oneself is exhilaration personified and something that cannot be adequately described.

Dullstroom Riding Centre offers hourly rides, pony camps and weekend trails, and safety is of primary concern of our horse-loving owners.

Love horse riding and the outdoors? Combine the two interests and join us for an unforgettable experience. From 1 to 2 hours scenic, tranquil horses rides through beautiful countryside to a tour of Dullstroom and its pubs on horse-back, the trails cater for everyone.

Your guides are accomplished riders and are there to make your ride relaxing and enjoyable on sure-footed friendly horses - all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

For children we offer led pony rides around the Centre on kind, reliable and friendly ponies using our unique miniature "Kiddie Western" saddles.

Safety is of prime importance and riding hats are therefore also provided.

Appropriate safety equipment is available to everyone embarking on a ride and is compulsary for all those who are younger than eighteen.

All rides are offered under the personal supervision of Dullstroom Riding Centre owners, Dave & Rhoda Curtis.

Please remember to wear long pants and closed toe shoes; and apply sun protection.

Our trails cater for everyone of all ages - from the first timer to the experienced rider.
