Cape Sidecar Adventures

Have your breath taken away in a Vintage 1938 World War II Motorcycle Sidecar. Cape Sidecar Adventures' fleet consists of 25 classic Changjiang CJ750's, a version of the German 1938 BMW R71 sidecar, manufactured for the Chinese Red Army between the mid 1950's and the mid 1970's. These bikes are available for chauffeured group tours, transfers or fun events. Based in Cape Town.

Ideal for overseas visitors or local tour groups, special events, incentives, corporate teambuilding activities, weddings or just having fun with the family or a group of friends.

Each package is flexible and venues and routes can be amended per passenger's requests. Multi-day trips (with minimum group size of 5) and one-way chauffeured transfers to Cape Town Airport, Milnerton, the Southern Suburbs and Hout Bay are also available.

CHAUFFERED RENTALS (Choosing your own Itinerary): Rates are per sidecar with driver and includes use of all riding gear plus 150km's of fuel. Based on an 8 hour day (ex-depot time). Maximum 2 passengers per sidecar motorcycle plus a driver. Full day, overnight, full weekend and long weekend rentals are all available.

SELF-DRIVE RENTALS: Self-drive is subject to 14% VAT. Full day, overnight, full weekend and long weekend rentals are all available.

Our depot is centrally located in Three Anchor Bay, Cape Town, between the suburbs of Green Point and Sea Point which is conveniently close to the V&A Waterfront as well as the Cape Town CBD.

In terms of walking distances, we're about 15-20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and about 10 minutes walk from the new Green Point 2010 Stadium.

Chauffeured tours include tolls, petrol, riding gear, entry fees where applicable, hire of bike and sidecar.

Chauffeured rentals include sidecar with driver, use of all riding gear, 1 tank of fuel (approx 150kms ex depot) and unlimited mileage.

Self-Drive quotes include sidecar, use of riding gear and unlimited mileage (Excl. petrol).

Meal costs, alcohol and tips. Chauffeured and self-drive rentals will be responsible for driver's accommodation, meals and refreshments, tolls, entry fees, wine tastings and any personal expenditure.

For self-drive you must have a valid motorbike drivers licence (Bikes over 125cc).
