Wilderness Hydro

The Wilderness Hydro is situated in Wilderness, in close proximity to George and Sedgefield in South Africa's beautiful Garden Route in the Western Cape province.

The Hydro is a unique facility at the 4-star Wilderness Beach Hotel, with a philosophy of a natural, hands on approach to well being, enabling the ultimate relief and benefit to the body.

Being much more than an ordinary Spa, we have everything to nurture your body to health and restore peace to your soul. We offer a wide range of selected therapies for each person's individual needs that are based upon medical, physical, mental, nutritional and emotional well-being.

Besides offering a wide range of treatments, including massages, beauty treatments, hydrotherapies, half and full day packages, and a popular specialty is our treatments for couples. Working with natural herbs and plant extracts, our internationally qualified therapists believe in pampering and spoiling the body, giving you the opportunity to also give your mind and soul a break from the hectic, stressful schedules of everyday life; a chance to find yourself again.

The Wilderness Hydro is open to the public 7 days a week (except for 25 December and 1 January) and we can cater for group bookings up to 6 guests at the same time. Conference facilities can be booked in conjunction with Hydro group bookings.

Book a treatment for yourself as a reward for having endured a particularly difficult time at work or perhaps as a means of banishing computers, pressures and ringing cell phones from your life, even if it is just for an hour or so. It offers a doorway into the world of self, secretly desired but rarely attained.

Having a skin that is well looked after, a vivacious appearance and anti-stress treatments are an absolute necessity and not simply a luxury. If you are on a business trip, treating yourself to an anti-stress treatment is preferable to hanging around in dodgy bars or trampling through slum areas!

Wilderness Hydro is on the beachfront at the Wilderness Beach Hotel, 3km from Wilderness village on the N1, Knysna bound, in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Please note the following in order to make your more experience enjoyable :

• Please bring comfortable open shoes and a bathing costume.
• Female clients are not permitted to have any water treatments or activities while menstruating for hygienic reasons.
• Please remove contact lenses beforehand or before each treatment.
• Please shower / bath before treatments and leave jewellery and valuables in the lockers provided or at home.
• Allow sufficient time for digestion of food before treatments.
• Consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden before treatments.
• Please inform your therapist if you are pregnant.
• Please inform your therapist of any skin allergies or other medical conditions you may have.
