Riverboard The Zambezi River

Bundu Adventures was established in 1996 as a Whitewater rafting and Canoeing company on the Zambezi River. Since then, our passion remains unchanged and Bundu has positioned itself as the leading company for top quality activities on the mighty Zambezi River, in Zambia.

Owned and operated by river people, Bundu offers white water rafting, riverboarding, canoeing safaris, river-surfing, kayaking and logistics and multi-day adventures. With our vast experience of the Victoria Falls area, we aim to provide you with the latest info, best accommodation and activities at the most competitive prices.

Our Riverboarding options allow you to run many of the Zambezi River's rapids holding on to a small body board and equipped with a pair of fins. Follow your qualified riverboarding guide down the river and hang on for the ride of your life… Depending on the water level you will also be able to enjoy surfing the Zambezi's fantastic standing waves!

The Riverboarding trip runs alongside our daily rafting trip. For safety reasons, the riverboarders will raft the flat sections and more technically difficult rapids, like rapid #4 and #7. You will then jump back into the river and run all easier, though still awesome Grade 5 rapids.

Itinerary:

Pick up 8am from your accomodation.
Check-in next to the Victoria Falls, rafting from rapid #1 to rapid #23.
Snacks on the side of the river at rapid #10.
Lunch at the top of the gorge above rapid #23.
Return to your accommodation at approximately 17h00 during the low water season and 16h during the high water season.

Zambezi River, Zambia

Transport, accompanied guide, lunch, drinks, park fees, all necessary equipment (including wetsuits in Winter months) and evacuation insurance.

Bring with you some high SPF water-resistant sun block, a hat or cap, non-slip shoes, shorts, your swimming costume and a T-shirt.

No previous surfing experience needed. A high level of fitness is however recommended.
