Wave House Durban

Located at Gateway?s Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga Ridge, Wave House Durban is a one of a kind entertainment venue worldwide. It is an awesome fusion of all board-sport cultures providing the ultimate place for everyone.

There are two FlowRiders (beginners waves) that are great for grass roots entry level into the phenomenal sport of flowboarding. We target the energetic youths, open-minded teens, experimental adults and the fit elderly. Then there is the D-Rex (Durbinicus-Rex, named after the city where we operate from) where the action takes place. It is the largest man-made stationary wave in the world, and it's located in Durban, South Africa!

D-Rex:

Wave House, Durban boasts the only Double Point break wave of its kind in the world called the D-Rex (Durbanicus Rex). This is the Platform for all styles of riding and all disciplines from stand-up riding to bodyboarding.

With Waveloch's patented sheet flow water technology pumping over 3 inches of foam surface covered with a thin layer of rubber, it provides the playground for all boardsports alike such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding, bodyboarding and surfing to come out and bust their tricks. It's a fun and a safe ride for beginners to advanced professionals to learn and master their skills on the 10ft barreling wave.

This is where we hold all of our major Flowboarding Competitions and is the international stage for most pro athletes from around the world to test their skills on the man made wave named the D-Rex.
