Summary

Enjoy the best 1-day white water river rafting action in South Africa with Ash River Rafting - organised by Outrageous Adventures! Experience exciting grade 3 and 4 white water rafting all year round, 365 days a year! Not rain dependant!

The Ash river just outside Clarens in the Eastern Free State, South Africa is fed by the Trans Caledon Transfer Tunnel, which pumps water from the Katze dam high up in the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho. The crystal clear water flows down the Ash river all the way to the Vaal dam.

Roughing it or luxurious, we cater for every taste and every pocket. A one-day whitewater raft or kayak outing, teambuilding, a corporate getaway, a multi-day overnight on the banks of the river type expedition - you name it, we do it.

General

The day starts with a short drive out to the river, where we do a safety-brief and explain all the do's and don'ts for the days rafting action. We also provide all safety equipment, i.e. lifejackets and helmets. You will be perfectly safe in the hands of the experienced and highly qualified river-guides.

Then we get on the water, practice getting back into the raft, just in case someone does fall out, and then within a few 100 metres from the start we hit the first rapid called "Breathiliser"! We then progress all the way to awesome grade 4 rapids, and even a waterfall.

Along the way we will stop to enjoy a delicious lunch on the banks of the river. Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your group has any special dietary requirements, i.e. halaal, vegetarian, etc.
