Summary

Outrageous Adventures organises exciting Bivane River Rafting on KwaZulu Natal's Bivane river, a little gem in the interior of this South African province, which has awesome scenery close to Ithala Game Reserve; ideal for corporate getaways and teambuilding.

Roughing it or luxurious, we cater for every taste and every pocket. A one-day whitewater raft or kayak outing, teambuilding, a corporate getaway, a multi-day overnight on the banks of the river type expedition - you name it, we do it.

General

In terms of multi-day trips, Biyane River Rafting is really roughing it for 2 or 3 days, sleeping over on the banks of the river. The Bivane river flows through a beautiful, remote area, and the river is very exciting and technical. Not for the faint-hearted. This river raft and kayak outing is exclusive because there are only a couple of days in the year that the new Bivane Dam releases water specifically for running river rafting and whitewater kayak trips. The whitewater rafting and kayak trip ends in the Ithala Game Reserve, allowing for some great game viewing too!

We provide all safety equipment, i.e. lifejackets and helmets. You will be perfectly safe in the hands of the experienced and highly qualified river-guides.

Along the way we will stop to enjoy delicious meals on the banks of the river. Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your group has any special dietary requirements, e.g. halaal, vegetarian, etc.

The price for rafting and kayaking trips are subject to the size of the group, the time of year, duration of the trip, etc. Please enquire.

Minimum is 6 to make up a group for a booking. And remember that it is rain dependant, the Bivane dam needs to overflow before the trip can happen. Therefore it is possible that the trip will only happen at very short notice.
