General
Adventure dives offer some great opportunities to explore some of the beautiful reefs of the Durban area and both North and south coasts. Whether it's diving with sharks, simply viewing the less ferocious under water specimen that the Durban coast has to offer or doing open water or advanced scuba dive courses, Adventure dives can cater for all your scuba diving needs
Itinerary
Adventure dives offer diving day trips to Aliwal shoal and Protea banks, which are both situated just South of Durban central. Aliwal shoal is one of the most beautiful reefs along the south coast of Durban and the diving is incredible. Protea banks is one of the more difficult reefs to dive because of its positioning and the currents. Paul, the dive instructor, will only take divers that he feels are capable of diving this reef.
Diving "seafaris" are also available. This incures a trip to Sodwana bay which is one of the best diving spots along the north coast. If scuba diving conditions aren`t good there is plenty of game viewing available in the area.
If diving with sharks is your game Adventure dives also offer an uncaged dive with sharks of Scottborough beach. The dive instructors take along a bucket full with bait to attract the Sharks (mostly Black tip sharks). Once they arrive you literally sit in the water while the sharks feed around you.
Adventure dives also offer a number o PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) courses along with equipment sales, hire and servicing. Disabled divers are welcome, although the safety of the activity will be assessed by the dive instructors.
The minimum age for a child to dive in the pool is 8 years old and the minimum age for diving in the ocean is 10 years old
